Dental implants are a safe and efficient way to replace missing teeth. Unlike bulky bridges that require modification of other teeth, implants replace the individual tooth, leaving the rest of your teeth unaltered. The process is really straightforward: After an extensive exam, a small screw is inserted into the jaw bone and left to heal. It takes several months, up to a half of a year for the bone to grow around the screw, at which point you will be ready to have the new tooth attached.
